I am able to offer a comprehensive range of architectural services from design inception through to project completion.

 

The level of service can also be tailored to suit the individual client brief, for example where the client is prepared to take on a greater project management role, or where they are looking only to secure the statutory Planning and Building Regulations consents.

​

The following schedule provides an overview of the architectural and related services offered.

DESIGN STAGE

​

  • Measured survey of the site and buildings

​

  • Feasibility studies and project planning

​

  • Sketch design

​

  • Final scheme design proposals

​

  • Planning Application submissions including Design and Access Statements, Planning Statements, etc

​

  • Listed Building Application submissions including Historic Building Statements

​

  • Organise and coordinate the preparation of surveys and reports by other specialist consultants where required for statutory consents

​

  • Provide budget cost appraisals either based on recent similar project examples, or where necessary, by specialist Quantity Survey

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION

​

  • Prepare and let building contract

​

  • Undertake Contract Administrator duties (a role set out within the building contract).

       These include, amongst

       other duties: inspection

       of the work in progress,         responding to builder

       queries, issuing all

       instructions to the                   builder, checking and             agreeing interim                       payments to the

       builder, checking and

       agreeing builder’s final

       account, monitoring

       progress against the

       works programme

TECHNICAL DESIGN STAGE

​

  • Construction information (technical 'working' drawings and Building Regulations compliance information)

​

  • Organise and coordinate the input of other specialist consultants where relevant to the project, e.g. structural engineer, services engineer, acoustic consultant

​

  • Building Regulations application

​

  • Materials and Workmanship Specifications and Extent of Work Schedules

​

TENDER STAGE

​

  • Collate all technical information (drawings, specification and schedules and appriopriate for the project) and invite tenders for the work

​

  • Receive and evaluate tenders; report to client

​
